About Make a Disciple

This site exists to serve the Church with faithful, in-depth Bible teaching. Not to build a platform. Not to sell a product. To help people follow Jesus and help others do the same.

The Story

Make a Disciple grew out of the weekly rhythms of a small gathering. People sitting around a table, opening the Bible, and walking through it together. This site takes that teaching deeper.

The articles here are not sermons or devotionals. They are careful, passage-by-passage studies. Word studies from the Greek and Hebrew. Historical context. Cross-references across the whole Bible. Application that hits real life.

The goal is always the same: equip people to handle Scripture for themselves. Not to create dependence on a teacher, but to build confidence in the Word.

The Mission

Make a Disciple is a ministry of Local Faith, Inc., a nonprofit committed to equipping believers and planting simple, reproducible churches.

Equip the saints.

Provide faithful Bible teaching that helps believers grow deep roots in Scripture.

Multiply disciples.

Create resources that are simple enough for anyone to use and teach to others.

Serve the local church.

Everything here is built to support what happens in living rooms, around tables, and in local congregations.

Common Questions

Who writes the content? +

The teaching here is rooted in the weekly rhythms of small gatherings in the Local Faith network. It is prepared with pastoral care, grounded in the original languages, and built for the body.

What translation do you use? +

We primarily reference the ESV (English Standard Version) and work directly from the Greek and Hebrew texts when doing word studies.

Can I use these articles for my small group or church? +

Yes. That is exactly why they exist. Use them, share them, teach from them. Just give credit and point people back here.

What denomination is this? +

We are nondenominational, rooted in historic, orthodox Christianity. We hold to the Apostles' Creed and the Nicene Creed. We aim to teach what Scripture clearly says and name areas of honest disagreement among faithful Christians.
